New cotton mesh in progress..

Post by CnlPepper » Thu Sep 10, 2009 6:36 pm

(This is a repost of a thread that was lost when the server went down).

I've been working on a new cotton mesh to replace the current place holder model:

The model is ~7300 polys. I still need to render the normal map and textures for it. The UV mapping is almost complete so the rest shouldn't take too long.

will you try to add THE feature to it, or try it later on the omega for example ?

Blimey, this is taking an epic amount of time to UV. So many bloody fiddly irritating curved surfaces.

EDIT: and tons of normal maps.....gah.

snake: I think the starfury would be a superb starting point.

Well, "the feature" as you put it could be used by any ship if we wanted to.
