How to play the mod...

It has come to our attention that not everyone is aware of the new gametype we've added to the mod. Thus, I've decided to post this instruction in how to play Area Capture.

To get the most out of the mod, you can't play it in deathmatch mode.

The current work we're doing on the mod is centered around a new gametype: Area Capture. All of the new maps and backgrounds we have put into the mod currently are designed to be played with this gamemode.

It's a King of the Hill type mode where players compete for control of certain areas of the map, giving them rewards for controlling the points.

Some points give you resources, while others may give you a space station as a staging point, or grant you access to advanced technologies. Currently, as we haven't fully developed the research trees yet, this immediately gives you the option of building a certain ship: Omega-X for Earth Force and the Whitestar for the Minbari.

What you do to play this new gamemode is that on the screen where you set up the players in the game, you'll see a drop-down menu, allowing you to choose between the standard deathmatch mode and the Area Capture gamemode.
