No need for an extractor or anything. When you've downloaded the mod, the file will be right there for you to look at. And a .level file is a simple text file, so any text editor will do for editing it. Just open it with notepad.

The one you're looking for is in leveldata\multiplayer\skirmish, instead of in leveldata\multiplayer\deathmatch like the normal levels. Should be easy to spot. As of this writing, it's the only file in there.

Thanks TONV, I just downloaded spooky's old big extractor, and was looking in the HW2 big file and was like wtf:confused: lol. I see it now, quick fix with textpad, and now to test it out... Just so you guys know, it was set to setGlareIntensity(0.4) I changed it to
setGlareIntensity(0) like you said. Time to see if it works:)

I'll test it out myself too. If it doesn't take away any important effects, I'll make the change permanent in the mod.

It's hard to tell if it changes anything, but it worked!! I can finally see stuff hehe. One thing I noticed is that with weapon explosion impact effects, they seem sort of.. I'm not sure.. like liney... almost like texture corruption but also really different. And it only seems to be with explosions and weapon impacts. Might that be some setting with my PC?

It's possible. They look fine on my machine. That said, it didn't seem to have any adverse effects on the look of the mod to change that setting, so I did. It is committed to SVN.

The only problem with this version of the mod is this:
Image

What happened to the warlock's turrets,etc....The map featured in the background is the skirmish map Jupiter.

Its an older, corrupted version of the warlock hod which zeelich uploaded, I'm sure he'll fix it when he gets the chance.

The level glare setting adds a bloom effect to any bright illumination, I'd rather it be kept on the Sol based levels as the light is ment to be very bright (as in space photos) and it adds to the specular effect.

Zeelich: I've got the shadow fighter ingame and I'm just about to upload the vorlon fighter, so you don't need to deal with them anymore. :)

Personally, I think it looks better without it, but if you feel it's needed, feel free to edit the file again.
