Damn, that brings back memories. I spent ages making that effect.

I tried for a long time to determine if you could make a B5 hyperspace effect for HW2, with the ship leaving the jumppooint - you can't as far as I'm aware. The FX system in HW2 is too restrictive. The best we can do is make the jump effect, but then it will either look stupid for jumping in or jumping out as you can only have one. Its particularly bad if you observe that the HW2 jump effect doesn't rotate going into hyperspace compared to leaving. Basically if you make the outgoing effect the ingoing effect will be the wrong way round an the ships will enter through the back of the effect.

There may be a way yet undiscovered - I need to have a look at the event scripts in more detail.

You can make a full jumppoint effect, but it won't work properly. It will look very bad.

Maybe that way we could brain storm about how to make it better more easily

I've long since deleted my experiments into making the effect (it was way back when HW2 was released). Basically the ship enters from the wrong side of the hyperspace cone. There are a few tricks you can do to almost remake my original effect but it is an incredibly time consuming process - work better spent on the rest of the mod.
