Which platform(s) do you game on?

I got to wondering. How many of you play console games vs. how many of you play PC games? Thus, a poll...

PC gaming all the way. Granted to get the most out of it you have to upgrade fairly often, plus a whole computer costs more than a console... BUT at the same time, a decent computer will last you years. Mine is now over 3 years old and it still plays all the new games (even crysis... if barely). And I find most games to be better on a PC. Sports and maybe platform games are pretty well the only ones that are more suited to a console, and since I rarely play either, it's of no consequence to me.

As for consoles, all the Next Gen ones are all about advanced graphics and all that. I still find people telling me how much more advanced the PS3 and 360 are to PC's.... Well... I usually just laugh at them. Granted your average PC probably doesn't have the graphical power of a PS3, but then again, the PS3 isn't your average console either. It's the top of the line Console, and as such I think it should be compared to a top of the line PC... which even though being 4 or more times as expensive, the PC does produce far better visual candy....

As you can tell i'm a pc fanboi lol

It does seem that no one has admitted to owning a PS3 yet, while we all (of course, this place starting with HW modding) play games on a PC.

I wonder how many people out there only play games on a console and only use their PC for work. Probably not many.

Yeah, I doubt it too.

Anyway, these days calling it a console is retarded. It's a PC, just like a PC can be used on TV screens.

The only true console out there right now, is the Wii, which is, IMO, the most alien of all three.

The older consoles like N64, Super Nintendo, Sega etc were also, IMO, true consoles.

So, in conclusion, consoles are just limited PC's that will run any game specified for it without any problems, hence why the PC is superior and longer lasting.

*edit* Oh and is it me, or is the poll bugged? You'll shit bricks when you see it :P

I also have a wii, great console, love surfing porn on my TV :D, and I love how nintendo seems more concerned with gaming than the others

once I finish my new PC, I think Ill get a 360 next

I used to love sony, but thanks to the PS3, the're dead to me now

So where is it at then?

360 or PS3? I've been thinking about getting one at some point in the not too distant future... where would my money be better spent?

Well at the moment, it's sort of inbetween. The 360 Has more games and (arguably, but opinion based) better games. The PS3 however has a few really good games and it has Blu-Ray, which is a big plus if you're a movie watcher.

I'd probably choose 360. First it has Mass Effect, plus a lot of other good games. And I've all ready got a Set Top blu-ray player, so the PS3 would be strictly a game console to me.
