Will ODST shut down Halo 2 online?

You might get a larger friends list out of it
Microsoft has said that people who still play Halo 2 are are the reason why your Xbox 360 Friends List is currently capped at 100.

According to G4TV original Xbox titles were coded for a 100-player Friends List only, and with Halo 2 still being played to death online right now, it's holding Microsoft back from bringing in a larger Xbox Live Friends List.

A potential solution seems to be closing down the Halo 2 servers after Halo 3: ODST's September release. After all, how many Halo multiplayer games do you need? We're sure a handful of hardcore players might be put out by this but at least it gives you a great reason to hold a Halo 2 LAN party.

Hands up then. Bigger Friends List or Halo 2 online?

yeah, or it could be a method to get more people to buy halo 3 and odst, halo is fun and all, but it is such a striped down FPS when compared to others, and halo 3's story was a disapointment, way too short

and they said it was just a black void

if I wasn't born a boy I'd have nothing to play with

True, and it just becomes even more epic when you do it as four player coop, using ghosts instead of warthogs.
