The voting for the C6 Ship Changes is here!

Below is a copy of the C6 Ship Changes. Please refer to it while you respond to the poll.

The poll will ask you about each section. Please vote on as many as you would like. This is your chance to make your opinion known.

If a section is dissaproved by 50% of the players, it will not be included in the final setup.

If a section is not approved by one or two GMs, but a supermajority (66%) of players approve, it will be included in the final setup. "Approve, with changes" votes are counted as "Approve" votes.

If a section passes, but over 50% of the "Approve" votes are "Approve, with changes," a discussion will be held to make the changes. The modified section will then be voted on again.

If you have any questions, please post them here! Also, please post if you notice anything wrong.

  • All TL ranges increased by a factor of 1.5 so the large ships can shoot beyond themselves.</font>
  • Set blastRadiusDamage of each ship to 1/3 of the ship's HP.</font>
  • Set blastRadiusShockWave depending on the geometry of the ship. nickersonm will do each individually.</font>
  • All stations with previously 0 sublight velocity now have 10 sublight velocity.</font>

OSD and CCS models, suck, and should be replaced, say by the ravager and Tyrant in the new SWNR mod, or maybe something else.

Indie shipset sucks, gives the Superfactions such a huge advantage over teh second rate fleets the indies get, best IP fighter i can think of is the V38 which is useless against people with cloak detecting stuff, so if u wanna use this ship list then u should remove cloak detectors.

also a idea i had to enhance the tactical value was to make forts unarmed, alot cheaper, then u could move them to say the cyropod slot, and this opens up both the mothership slots for a new ship on both sides.

Everything looks good, except i just don't think forts should be able to hyperjump away from battle (course imo the forts should be like space platforms and not be able to move hardly any in battle). Anyway, glad i came back today so i could comment on this stuff, off again in about an hour. Remember, C6 can't start till 7/25/03. ;)

Comments: Not much to say that hasnt been said before. I'm ok with indies having lesser capital ships than the superfactions, but you dont need to so severely cap their fighters as well. The IP's dont really stand a chance against any other faction fighter wise.
