Doesn't really matter where they are, jets can be angled. Besides, if its in deep space (the ship was originally introduced as 'deep space cargo hauler', there is no gravity or any significant force to make it snap apart.

The significant force would be the momentum, which would be quite significant due to the size of the ship.

Anyway its not an issue, just a comment

Updateyo!

TONNES of detailing done on the bits above and below the side vents, you can definately see the extra detail there now, right?
Also, added the fighter bays where this ship's 4 defence fighters launch from, in order to maximise the speed of turning, the hangars are at 45 degree angles which lets the fighters better engage enemies coming from any direction other than the front. Theyre up the top of the head, I have modelled a little of the inside of the hangar, and intend to model the rest of it soon enough, complete with fighter launch prepping systems, lots of little gangways for the pilots etc etc etc, and I will animate it Image
I have actually put the first walkways in there already, not sure if theyre clear in this pic though.

Sorry the pics smaller than the previous ones, I'm having a bit of an overheating problem and my PC tends to conk out in the middle of a render so I made it a little smaller to make sure it got done this time.

Also, I ordered myself a new processor this evening, an AMD 3000 :D Which will arrive this wednesday :D

its lookin super sweet.
If your animating it, and this model isnt going to be goin ingame.
Does this mean that ur planning on making some form of film/animation/fan jobby/booom booom scene/ bangy bang/big explosions

kinda thing :D

Not specifically, I'll be releasing it to anyone with lightwave when its done, but the main reason for making it is for rendering out textures for the game model - just like I do with the Farscape mod.

Update!

Top of the head is much much much more detailed now, hangar doors are made, and the little red hangar guide lights are there for weary pilots returning to the barn :D

sweet deal there meurig... those antenna guard thingy plates remind me of the PK command carrier for some reason.

The front panel I did before looked pretty lame, so its been remade to the same detail level (3) as the top parts.
