I did leave. University is a pain.

It's a shame this mod has been put in the fridge. Also, I read somewhere (on Relicnews, I think) that the HW1 source has been released. I had hoped that would have spurred the modding scene a bit more, but alas ... :(

MVE got toasted because of IP issue using Darks models and textures & i didn't want to start a flame war over IP & nor did i really want to release with out his blessing. I've got permission from every one else though... took 2 years to get that lol. New models on the minbari side never got done, not any ones fault really as i never intended for it to go as far as it did. Kinda like the raider redo i did of Pierce's work. He hated that ;) still dose too.

All kinds of old crap on my comp... cant bare to part with it... up till a while a go i even had the final redo (unreleased) of the SOFAS/MOFAS mod or what ever the hell it was. Lost now though, same as that nice carrier Z did for MVE & a hundred other things never to see the light of day.

That depends on where Zeelich has gone off to. He'll be back. Sooner or later they all come back...

My God, people still post in this forum.... :)

I still feel kinda bad about leaving. The thing is that after 4 and a half years, ive still been working on the last assignment i got for this mod: that goddamn SSD model. Of course, it is now no longer suitable for the original HW and even pushes the poly limit for the second one. Anyways, for those who want to reminisce, here are shots of the old and older SSDs.

Not as old: ... /tower.jpg ... 511051.jpg ... 509054.jpg ... 509053.jpg ... 509052.jpg ... 090505.jpg ... 051105.jpg ... sd-ssd.jpg

Same hull, same bridge, slightly different textures and cityscape.
Now to see if I still have those other old, old models...

BTW, what happened to the developer's forum?

No development, no forum necessary. :)

Some nice work there, has it become a project for it's own sake, or is there a mod you're lookin to put it in? Seeing the old SSD brings back some fond memories. Mainly of staring at it as it moved into firing position on a Borg Cube in my SWI balancing tests. That thing was slow. :) One of these years, I'm gonna have to update my Borg Invasion of Coursant map that came with the never released SWI v0.25. That and the Imperial Invasion of Earth and the Dominion/Imperial Assult on DS9.

I was a busy bee that summer. Shame texture corruption problems prevented a release. :(

EDIT: Actually, the dev fourm still there. You just have to be logged on as a member with access to it to see it. It's above the fourm topics.

But it's cold and drafty in there, and no one ever goes. And there's a painting of a very ugly man hanging behind a thick curtain, so Z keeps it locked. :p
