first question is a stupid one but it doesnt seem to say in the instructions but whats the scuttle command do?

second question how do you make fighters target other fighters only? cus sometimes i cant drag an attack box around fighters only when there are capital ships around in a big fight.

third how do you prevent fighters from bunching up when they go for attack runs? they get wooped by a large beam lazer when they bunch up.

Im new to this game so excuse the silly questions. when i got the game i got it on buget so it didnt come with a manual Image

what about the fighters targeting fighters thing? i guss its not possible then

That's a new thing in HW2, as far as I know. I usually find that building a missiloe destroyer and a corvette escort eliminates the need for any fighter-class ships in a main attack fleet. Bombers with fighter escort are good raiders though.

so you dont buld fighters? I like to build them cus they look cool in a large dogfight. I suppose they are mainly for show

Sometimes I use scouts and intercepters to distract large capital ships, but later in the game they aren't woth the price. They die in the dozens against a missile destroyer, and corvettes beat fighters easily, especially multi-guns.

I think every carrier should already come prepacked with some fighters because i hate having to build these little buddies but I always love to see them engaged in dog fights around my fleet. Actually I think that would be a cool bonus for the carrier class ships.

While both impossible for modders and shipbuilders alike you can do something like this with the drone frigate, sadly all those drones do is sit in formation, to bad some mod couldn't make them full fighters.
If you want fighter drones go pick up a copy of Cataclysm.
