...in association with Crook and Delphy. We have been helping to make O-R-B modabble. A tool has been released by the Developers to extract/create .RES files and I have now finished a program that will read the mesh .POD files and save them as textured .OBJ files. Here are some sample pics:

Proper modding of the game is not very far off now... Image

That's good news Image I expect there'll be a few grateful ORB modders out there!

Nice work, the question is just how MODable do you think ORB will be?

I still haven't really tried to get my hands on a copy, but if it can become more MODable than HW, I might change my mind. Image

If everything works out, and we can overcome this .res, and .pod hurdle then ORB should be TOTALLY moddable. Image

Well I can virtually guarantee that this is a first - an O-R-B ship (Malus Frigate) in Homeworld! Image

1st, we dont know if we can totally mod HW2 yet.

2nd, ORB has ALOT of potential, it has a good SP game, Its bugs are what brings it down especially MP, but its not a poor game. with the right tools, and talent its mods could be awsome, and they may fix those bugs.

3rd, ....cause we can Image
