Well, because the B5 mod isn't going to happen, and I have a few good models going to waste I thought I'd offer them to the community at large. You're free to use them for HW / HW2 in any capacity.

B5 Fury Variants

Here's the Presidential Fury. The zip contains:

Sinclair's fury
Psi Corps Fury
Presidential Fury
Standard Fury (For making other variants)

The Bagder variant with the same texture scheme as above.

I have a thunderbolt too:

B5 Thunderbolt

Poly counts are:

Starfury: 1988
Badger: 2280
Thunderbolt: 2964

This also serves as notice that any HW2 B5 work is being abandoned by me at last, and my official retirement from modding in general for the forseeable future.

And another of the First Ones goes beyond the rim...

Those models are almost good enough to make me reinstall HW2 just to play them. And believe me, it takes some damn nice models to make me even consider reinstalling HW2. :D

Good luck in the future, Crook; hope you'll still drop in and let us see any modelling you might be doing in future.

I knew this day was coming sooner or later, when projects like this were going to fade...but that doesn't make it less sad :(

Good Luck Crook!

BTW, with this decision the inevitable doom of the website becomes pretty obvious, so what is the plan for the foreseeable future?

I wouldn't say that, the website isn't and never was my domain - thats Spooky's territory, and as far as I'm aware it'll stay up as a place to get the HW1 mods and tools from for the forseeable future.

The Great Wars team tried it's best to be open to other people who were willing to do mod work on a B5 mod. If anyone wishes to now step up to the plate and continue, feel free.

A fitting end-note to your involvement with the GW mod, Crook; again, excellent work.

Whilst i can understand the inevitable fate of the Homeworld mods, i would like to ensure that no ones hard work is lost and that it remains available to everyone. TGU can provide online storage for such things and so it should. Im not saying this beacuse GW is dead, but because its a little bit late after the team has totally vanished.
So if GW or any other mod would like to create a HW mod archive here, including there website, please let me have it, preferably on a disk.

Crook, its been a pleasure seeing your work and you have been a great credit to the mod community. GW as a whole inspired many other mods and the project has done alot for the TGU by simply exisiting. You know the history better than i. Im sad that leaving this team but id like to thank you for your involvment in it as the end products have bought me hours of enjoyment.

Well it's been a long road, with not very much at the end of it.

I don't think anyone can blame you for abandoning the project; I'm amazed you stuck with it as long as you did. Considering your evident talents I think you were wasted on HW2. Let's be honest, what's the point of modding it? It wasn't much fun, it's a nightmare to work with and it's got no players.

Thanks for your past achievements, which have entertained a lot of people. Good luck for the future, in all that you do.

Well evan if you belive that the Mod or homeworld isent worth the time or effort i know so many people who do. i stoped playen it for a while and only decided to come back because of this mod. the work on it done by it's team was incredible and they should be proud of thier accomplishments. evan thought he retired dosent mean that the mod would have to end. is there no one who would take up the torch?
