Nah not these days its not a real killer on hw2 i doubt.

Besides as long as lodding is done it will be fine. As long as thats the only fighter like that and in groups of 2.

Lets just say i could handle it ok.

I only really consider 25k+ [truly] high, but I suppose there is a large gap in between [img]smile.gif[/img]

As the mainstay of the EA fleet it must be lodded no doubt but I dont see anything wrong with keeping lod0 as it is, as long as the others have significant drops in polys.

You do realize that 16K is about half again the poly count of the entire freaking HW2 mothership, right? (Half again = 1.5 times, BTW; the MS runs about 10K IIRC)

Which is why I said lod0, not lod4 or whatever HW2 uses.

Plus its our mod we do have limits and this is perfetly exceptable. Besides its not going to be 16000 polys all the time only if some looks at it very closely. Most of the time u should be busy in other things like building and research, and in sensors alot planning ur attacks. So the best hw2 will actually use in a normal game is lod 2 or 3 which will be about 5000 or less hopefully. It all depends.

If it doesnt work then thats our bad but easily fixed.

Captain Pearce has a valid point! The MS in HW2 runs about 6600 poly & most fighters (forHW2) run about 1200 or less as an average, my last starfury as an example: for the B5COI MOD ran about 2400 poly and still not crash the game. so I'd have to extrapolate that it's entirely possible to use this or another Fighter for HW2.... depending on game\Vid\ect settings. there are possibilities. WH2 Is far advanced from the HW We Started to tweak [img]smile.gif[/img] UnLeashed's Thunderbolt for example? :eek: (a Killer Model I Might Add!)
after examining the source code now openly available & trying some things in the Venerable Original HW....

EDIT: Spooky Is ABSOLUTLY RIGHT! This is TOO High in poly to be a realistic fighter even for HW2. I'm working on a lower poly mesh for "MOD" purposes. A High Poly Mesh is good for detail shots or for texture creation. (IMO) As well as a

PPS. Sorry, Just want to ad one more thing. If I added the Badger POD & rescaled the mesh to B5 SPEC's the Badger mesh would breakout @ about 23K. I don't know if HW2 could handle it!
