in my opinion, the VCD kicks ass, but the model CoI uses is a little outdated.. i mean its sweet for when u made it, but u should do a revamped version for HW2

Heh,

I just remembered I posted this here. I was rollin pretty well and had never posted a poll in my life. This one just kinda popped in my head.

I think I worded it well enough given my condition at that time.

Personally, I think it DOES look like a giant lawn dart. The Omega on the other hand I would say has a classy feel to it. The Omega design tries to be different and fuctional at the same time and seems to pull it off well. Dunno what it is about the Excalibur though. I could never get into treks Galaxy class either and now that I think about it it was for similar reasons. The designs just look unbalanced to me.

well thats the point tho, the VCD was supposed to be the young races über ship, which can take any other cap ship with ease.

I am talking 'unbalanced" strictly from an aesthetic point of view. Hence, the "giant lawn dart" crack. Like I said, the ST galaxy always looked like the first two feet of a cobra about to fall on its face to me as well. Dunno, just seems that when i do my drawing and any modeling that i do, which tends to come from those drawings, a balanced feeling is important.

If the Excalibur had a longer stern on it or perhaps the 'wings' were shorter i could buy into it. For the Gal, well simply turn the nacelles around, so what if it looks more like an older Enterprise, it very obviously is not.
