hehe,

again, Im not getting into any of the fine points of the shows, history, technobabble whatever. Simply asking for opinions vs my own.

The Galaxy/ST stuff i threw in later is only to better illustrate what I am asking about the Excalibur. anyways, pretty much keepin this thread going solo aint we felthy?

Apparently you draw circles on the lawn and throw these things at them.

God I'm getting old.

Pretty much some genius way back when came up with the idea to take a steel tent peg about a foot long, stick some plastic fins on it and a ring at the end to underhand toss it with. I suppose the intent was that they be thrown at targets on the ground. Apparently, the inventor had never met a child in his life and chaos was pretty much the result. I believe they were shortly thereafter made illegal.

So, if you can picture that then I think you can see my reference to a lawn dart when it comes to the Excalibur. Its just what it reminds me of not exactly a jab.

Heh, just looked over that site and those are a bit more refined than I remember from my childhood. My parents pretty well banned me from ever touching a lawn dart. They sold, and perhaps still do sell, these things in toy stores. As an adult, I am sooooo sure I am trully ready to handle them now at an out door 'event' i might attend....lol
