Hey, guys. I just wanted to point out that someone else is trying to use the Hammerhead and Saratoga meshes from our mod. Jeff was kind enought to point this out to me as he and I have both sent emails regarding his meshes. They just look way too familiar.

It's unfortunate that this can and did happen without any of us being contacted first. It quite honestly doesn't make me lose sleep that someone else is using our Toga but the fact that he just ripped it and posted it in his progress pics is just plain wrong. On the one hand I'm happy that others are making more S:AAB mods/games, but on the other you just don't use other people's stuff without thier full consent.
And don't try and tell me you were gonna make a list after all your ships were in game and then get permission. That's a crappy way to do it. He did say that when people complemented him on his model that he said he did'nt do it, so at least that counts for something.
End of rant

A simple enough rule to follow is, if they don't ask for permission, then never give it afterwards.

If they ask before using it, then maybe give them a mesh or two.

Grrr. I just sent this chap another email telling him to take our content down. He is starting to get under my skin.

These people just dont get it. I have tried to explain myself, but it seems most there are thickheaded and cant grasp the concept of using other people's material without permission.

Im not sure what course to take now.

Can you talk to the people who host the site and get them to remove it?

I wouldn't bet on it - that's an0n's server, and I very much doubt he'd pull it down. In fact, well, you'll see

Someone over at thier board said this line..."Granted, it's usually best to go ahead and seek permissions before using other people's work."

Now that is funny..usually best.....HA!
