Hey you guys, I haven't been around here in a while. How is the mod coming along? Has there been any progress lately??? I would like to finish the intro movie--provided there is a mod for it to use. :D

Also, if you guys are going to HW2, you can afford higher quality meshes and textures, plus lighting in HW2 is much better--you could really pull off the Space: Above and Beyond atmosphere!

What say you!?

A categorical yes to SAAB in HW2. Once the modding tools/filespecs are released things should start moving...

I second that, Jeff. That is great news. Kind of a bummer that the models all have to be made all over again though from what I have read so far on the forum.

Seeing a much higher poly Toga in game would make my year :D

I think they would just have to be converted or something. In thier most basic form they are just .3ds models with a couple of textures applied. I should think we could still use them but they would have to be made to work in HW2. Of course I could be wrong as I don't really get into the game side of things.

With higher poly models and with heaps more effects SAAB will look fantastic.

Well if nothing else the HW2 engine will stop the Toga and Eisenhower ramming everything in site.

I find the torpedos in HW2 will be most beneficial for SAAB. Very nice animation to them.

Being able to target certain areas of the carrier will be awesome too.
