Finally got some motivation to work on her some more..shes 90% textured 95% complete. Im gonna mesh in the "ribs" at the front and back of the wings, it shouldnt add too much to the count, i still have plenty of room to play with.

Just the minor details left. I can "almost" see Data in the cockpit now :D

I am making lower resolution textures than i normally would for this model. like i said b4 i expect lots of these ships to be on the map at the same time.

Not half-bad dude!
Lord Vorkosigan does not always get what he wants!

Let's be about it.

I'm looking forward to seeing this spec- and illumination-mapped (and maybe a little bump thrown in for good measure). :D

Hehehe, Ask and ye shall recieve.

Finished the model tonite, and did a test run of her in the Nexus Model Viewer. I made some very crude bump, and spec maps for her. They wont be used in the final nexus model. The SFC/BC version is just gonna use the embossed textures.

Even tho the textures are low res, and with the crude bump n specs she looks awsome IMO... my experiment worked :D

The models final poly count is 1627. I didnt re-weld any vertices, or redo the smooth groups yet when i ported her over to Lightwave, hence some of the rough edges. Dont worry, Ill get to it. Its still a 100% improvement over anything out there now lol!

Looks great, though IMHO it could do with a bit more of a shiny surface.

Well, it is rather hard to judge the shinyness when there's no movement, so maybe I'm being too harsh on that. I'll reserve judgement until I see it ingame. ;)
