I don't think Armada is a good reference for anything in the Star Trek universe, personally... ;)

I happen to have the armada model handy, The armada model is worthless, all the details are textured in (badly i might add), and the model itself is like 200 polys. Its strikingly similar in shape to the delta flyer, hmmmm. No i dont think its a good ref.

Since im way below my poly budget here i want to mesh in some more of the details which is why i need the screen caps of the top (if possible). I got another 1200 polys i could play with, and i want to make em count ;)

Little update, but no pics. I scrapped the original wing. Thanks to z nit picking the poly count Image I realized i meshed the wing completely wrong. The new wing is double the count of the original, and ALOT smoother. The model stands at 963 ATM, but im expecting 11-1200 when the wing is finished. I'll post some pics later if i get the wing done today.

EDIT: Wings done...again Image poly count is now 1147. still have between 8-900 polys left to play with :D

Much better. But now the 'bump' inside the wing needs to be smoother, it stands out a lot more.

It's looking really good.

Sorry, but not another poly is going on the wings :D unless you are refering to the 2 bulges (whatever the hell they r for) on the foward section. If so then yes i plan on working them a little more. I had one hell of a time getting the shape of the wing as close as i got it. For a blocky looking ship this thing has ALOT of curves. Im gonna concentrait more on the details and texturing now

Little OT, but Howie when u gonna start modelling again?

I'm talking about the bulge just in front of what look like the bassard collecters. I can't blame you not wanting to touch the wings again, I get tired just thinking about modeling them .D

The bulges have alot of polys on em as they are now, but i will try to shape them a little better when i get to texturing them. I was hoping the textures would hide some flaws. Im trying not to make a 5000 poly "fighter" im close to my 2k mark now.

Speaking of texturing, I have the top half of the model almost done. It is a MAJOR pain to draw freehand in PS (the entire top back and sides of the fuselage are freehanded). There was no other way to match what i saw on the caps. I didnt fill in the darker colored areas on the sides yet but ill get to it Image I might have "overcooked" the panals a little hehehehe, but i tried just shading and it didnt look right at all.
