Those turrets don't look very good with smoothing. Would you consider using Flat Shading on them?
Other than that, another quality mesh/textures of an absolutly terrible design.
Nice work.

Here's some pics of my own from a quick test run this morning...

Beauty pass:
All that's left for TW 0.22 now is some mex tweaking; once I can find some time to do that, we can release that baby and get on to full-time IAW work...

Hmmmm Zeelich maybe yer right. it is 1 texture that covers all the turrets/antenna, and very small part of the aft area anyway (its just a generic hull texture since u dont zoom in close enough to see details that small anyway) Ill give it a test flat shaded and see how it goes.

The generic texture on the turrets doesnt look very good, are you sure you couldnt just make up a texture for them instead of making them plain white?
Lots of wasted polys on the saucer, too
Overall quite nice, though I again despise the design

Stress didn't make the saucer.
And, if you look at the picture in the other thread, the sensor arrays aren't particularly detailed. "Plain white" is pretty much all they are...

I know they dont actually, but I'm saying that as they are at the moment they look bad, this is one instance where making it slightly less canon would make a far better result.

I was trying to avoid adding more texture sheets than the stock SoA Miranda came with. Yes your right about the wasted polys too the current SoA/TW Miranda, and saratoga use the same base mesh. as does the Soyuz maybe when i get some time ill go over the base mesh and do some of my tricks and nonsense on it

or maybe ill just mesh a new miranda just for TW (shouldnt take that long to do)
It wont make a difference if i detail texture the antennas or not. ill do some details on it anyway to show you HW1/Cat is pretty unforgiving when it comes to minor things. especially working with textures as low res as HW lifs
