I've tried a few script sites but the section I want seems to be omitted. In ST III when Chekhov discovers an energy pulse in Spock's quarters Scotty comes over to take a look.

What does Chekhov say? Sounds like:

Chekhov: 'Yanishu mushenski'

Scotty: 'Eh?'

Chekhov: 'Nou Vonte.'

Is this Russian? Am I hearing things? Is it english but I just can't place the words?

Help me out, this has been bugging me slightly for years! Image

Well, the Director's Edition of the DVD is out...I'll have to buy it and let you know what the subtitles say. Image

Chekhov has 2 lines that no-one seems to know about, and you say it's not important?? What sort of Trekker ARE you? Image

SOMEone must have figured it out - any russian speakers around maybe?

Most likely isnt russian, well atleast a russian m8 of mine couldnt come up with any sensible meaning for it...but that might have been caused by my poor ability to pronounce it correctly Image
...thus it remains as a mystery
