where are the extra maps and ships

i cant find them on the site for download

im not actually after the maps, but some of the non buildable ship files that are in them, such as the prommy etc as i wanted to add these to my game to replace some of the ships i dont really use?

does anyone have all of these ships files, including the lods etc etc ?

would you mind sending them to me, cheers

ah sorry, i looked in the p1,2,3 and traders folders and didnt find the ship

but i didnt think of looking in the actaul r1 folder for the prommy

found it now

one thing i am wondering, if i put a ship with weapons, into a slot that doesnt have weapons, such as the minelayer etc, does it mean the ship wont use its weapons?

Those files are not in maps, they are in the actual mod release. Look in some of the subdirectories that installing the mod creates.

Ship slots like the minelayer or resourcecontroller are hardcoded not to fire weapons (the ML does have mines/can fire missiles, though) Even if the weapons are there in the .shp and .mex files, the ship won't fire. (at most, you'll get a crash out of it, sorry Image) As a guide, virtually any ship which can have weapons has them in SoA. The one exception, that I know of, is the SalvageCorvette. It can have weapons and fire them.
