Will HW2 mods allow you to select individual ships? I swear, that is such a turn-off that I stopped playing the game after mission 5. Well, that and the 20-second frigate life expectancy.

HW2 will basicly allow you to change damn near anything through scripting. Including the weak frigates hit points, and squadron size (if you want ether 10 ships or just 1 per squad). I belive there are some re-balance mods out. check the HW2 tanis shipyard section of the relic boards.
