Hosting your mods

Post by Skeeter » Fri Jun 26, 2009 12:58 am

Hi there.

I am an admin of http://www.star-trek-mods.com and was wondering if we can host your trek mods that you have worked on. If so can you let me know where i can get them along with any videos or screenshots. Cheers.

I'm not sure where you can find the downloads these days. I'll have to take a look for them. For my part, I'd say go ahead and mirror the downloads at your site. As long as proper credit is given, I don't see a problem with it. The mods were made for fans to enjoy after all, which they can't do if they can't find them.

I'll dig around for them tomorrow and see if they're still on the web somewhere if I don't forget. If I do forget, then just bump the post, I do check for new posts every day, but tend to forget the ones that don't have active replies.

Hi metal.

Found a copy of soa 95a on moddb. Is this the latest? If so ill upload that. Any videos showcasing the mod or good screenshots would be appreciated as well. I will look at the readme and use that in the description. Thanks for letting us host your fab mod. :)

It's the latest official release in any case.

Actually I believe that we need to look into making this release official. Everyone on the team is otherwise engaged, but please allow me to offer you this for playtesting:

http://zenonline.com/~drollings/SOA20081225.zip

It features a lot of improvements in almost every respect from model quality to game balance to AI strength, and that's how I myself would want Sacrifice of Angels remembered.

Glad you showed up dasher. I wasn't sure if you'd allow me to pass it on for general use. (besides which, I'd have nowhere to upload it.) :D

Btw Skeeter, I found a large batch of old Sacrifice of Angels screenshots in a backup folder if you still want them.

I can email them to you or see if maybe I can upload a zipped file with them here.
