B5:Shadow Battlecrab

Post by maxdamage » Thu Apr 13, 2006 9:37 pm

Well as the title says I'm busy making a B5:ShadowCrab.The poly limit will be aboit 13k but I have a long way to go before I can say anything. Can't take a screenshot of what I have done so far as the unregistered version of Deep Exploration doesn't display mesh correctly?

I'm using Nadab Göksu's mesh as a guide on how to create a B5:Shadow BattleCrab

Looks pretty good so far, what do you plan to do for textures? Going to try and create your own?

Found a pic of shadow texs at efni.org and modified it for my ship but would like to create my own but I don't use PSP8 much and I would like to create proper shadow hull texs and EA Beam and Shadow Boser Slcer Beam but have no clue where to start:confused:

Milkshape 3d doesn't texture map curved surfaces nicely.Too much stretching....Busy trying to look for 2nd hand version of Lightwave 3d but no luck so far in SA :(

Going to scale it to 1.5km after fixing it and import it into HW2 using the obj insert method and hard(point)ed prog.

JMS recently revealed that the Shadow vessel texture was made by scanning the nose of a dog... ;)
