Scarran Predator

Post by Meurig » Thu Sep 01, 2005 12:37 am

The scarran fighter from PK Wars, modeled over the past two nights. I had some good reference for this sent to me by the guy who designed it for the show, so I can safely say it's pretty accurate. I had some nice shots of it textured as well, which is a relief since its never really shown up close in PK Wars which would make texturing it pretty difficult. As it turns out the originals textures are very intricate, and will be pretty difficult to replicate. Then again, I need the practise. Expect pics when its textured :D

Btw, the name 'Predator' is mine, the fighter is never actually named.

I agree. An increase to 8 or 10 seems in order.

Basic colouration for the wings and front spike, and the cockpit hood is pretty much done with a couple of gradients and weight maps, no image textures.

Thanks CCGX! I'm glad you've registered, too :)

I think you should post your work in a new topic! Everybody would be interested to see it :)

The only part of this model I've seen in detail is the cap that you showed me of the cockpit area, Meurig, and from that, it certainly seems you've nailed that bit. :D Don't get me wrong, though, the rest of it looks quite nice as well... :)
