Serenity

I thought I'd do a Serenity pic. It's been too long since I've done a composition - even longer using someone elses model.

It's cool, though there are some things I would change. The planet seems to be getting its light from the star, but Serenity appears to be being lit by another, different white light off camera from another angle. The explosion is also pretty manic, too much so I'd say.

It's a shame there are no other firefly ships publically available :/ Treybor also made a Reaver ship (though not incredibly accurate), but didnt release it. I've wanted to do the Alliance cruiser a few times, but it's a bit strange a design to make solely from screencaps, especially since Serenity and the reaver ship both have decent schematics available.

Loads of new ship designs in the film :D

Yeah, the star was post as an afterthought. But I do like the big explosion. Gives it a 'It's well and truly knackered now!' feeling :) Here's a fixed version:
