Oh, and just so everyone knows we are planning on using Homeworld 2 for all space battles, just as EVR used Homeworld 1. (once we can get a mod made out for it.)

also im hoping that we can use a tax based model for creating income and effecting population happiness, etc, i think turg i gona be working on that.

The troop combat system is gona need alot of work, but im sure we can come up with something, arg, need to get that work out asap.

it will depend on how big factions are to begin with.

ps that quote is selective reading, we choose them, the name dosnt really matter, but it will still be a republic faction

Yes, but I'm not sure the SoL, the OWA... have more "right" to be in than some of the other indie factions of C3/C4, only from a logical point of view.

The timeline says this as a conclusion : "but several smaller factions are also vying for power". These "several smaller factions also vying for power" are not named at all. That's why I dunno if we should have them already named even before a signup is up.


Other question : I haven't read the rules for new players joining after campaign has started. Are the factions able to refuse new players, or not ? Are some factions able to refuse, while some others "have" to accept every candidate ? Seems important to me.

I just think it's maybe too early to already name the "indie" factions, especially to base them on past EvR campaigns. After all, we don't know yet if others will also want to have "an indie that counts", and it's also possible that newcomers will wonder why Hapes, CSA... (which are SW EU) are the same size than GI, SoL, GO...

IMHO : first, make the mod and the app (which should work for any campaign settings). Second, post general guidelines for the campaign settings (GE/IR and NR or none of these and their relative sizes, approx. number and size(s) of the indie factions).
